Up for sale to the highest bidder starting at a crazy .99 cents are two very old antique Dust Pressed tiles made by the Patent Tile works. Originally the dust-pressed tile making division of Minton and Co, from 1840 to 1868. Following the court case which split up the company, Minton Hollins continued as a separate company in new premises at Stoke designed by Charles Lynam, known as the Patent Tile Works. Used the name Minton and Co for encaustic tiles and, after c1920, for all tile production. Marked Burroughs and Mountford Patent Tile works. The face of these tiles are in good condition. One back edge is beveled on one of the tiles. They measure 6 X 6
