Included are a set of weights; 10, 2, 1 and a blank. The weights are marked "H.Troemner Philada."  The top of the brass handle is marked "50g". I purchased this from an antique store in San Anselmo, California about 2 years ago, knowing very little about it. It's been a decoration piece on my study desk since then. On Jul-01-08 at 16:02:53 PDT, seller added the following information: Measurements: Total Height= 10 inches Width = 8 1/2 inches Scales = 3 inches diameter each.
