Rare CUB 18 X pocket telescope Newbold & Bulford Ltd- London

A beautiful brass telescope model CUB 18X by Newbold & Bulford Ltd of London England. The overall condition of the devise is nothing less than excellent. The black leather cover is only marred by only the slightest marks. The brass has many years of patina- I see no sign of it having ever been dropped. Closed it measures 17cm long and is 45cm fully extended. Optically is seems to be functioning well, I do note a speck or two in a lens inside. Brass cap fits tight, I suspect the protective cardboard tube is original to this telescope. I had very little luck researching this item on the net- no doubt you collectors will know far more about it than I.
