THIS IS A NATIVE BASKET, THAT WAS ACQUIRED AT AN ESTATE SALE, IN SOUTHERN ONTARIO.. NOT TO FAR FROM A MOHAWK RESERVATION TO THE WEST AND AN IROQUOIS TO THE EAST...AS TO WHICH OF THESE TRIBES IT BELONGS TO , IM NOT SURE......
UP FOR AUCTION TODAY IS THIS LARGE SPLINT BASKET WITH CURLS.... IM ASSUMING THAT IT WAS EITHER USED FOR A WASTE BASKET OR A WOOL BASKET?? THE ONE HANDLE HAS LONG GONE AND THERE ARE A FEW OF THE CURLS THAT ARE MISSING OR DAMAGED.. APPROX 5-6 CURLS.. THIS IS A LARGE BASKET AND MEASURE S 10½" X 11 X 11" TALL APPROX... NICE PATINA ON THIS VINTAGE BASKET..
THE LAST PHOTO IS A COLLECTION OF ALL THE NATIVE BASKETS I HAVE ON AT PRESENT... (THE ONLY basket THAT THIS AUCTION REPRESENTS.. HAS A ROSE NEAR IT < IN THAT PHOTO)

of the transaction (including shipping and handling) WILL be awarded to the buyer once the item, in its original condition, is returned to ME. The buyer is responsible for shipping and handling costs related to returning the item to me....

A Few FYI’s about Canada Post
- Canada Post does not have Tracking Numbers for anything under 1 kilo (2.2lbs) in weight
- Canada Post NOW does insure items under 1 kilo in weight leaving Canada to a maximum of 100.00... extra insurance is needed for anything over the 100.00
- It will take a minimum of 9-14 working days for your item to reach you..
- Canada Customs has taken to quarantining randomly chosen pieces of mail up to 10 working days before processing - this is in addition to the usual 9-14 working days
- There is NO refund for uninsured lost shipped items...Please note Canada Post , does not pay insurance claims on broken items (ie glass) only on .parcels lost by the Postal System. .
