It is in original unrestored condition. The finial is 9 inches tall not including the installation dowel. The base is 3" in diameter, and the widest part is approx. 4.5". This finial would be good for a bed, a piece of furniture or a newel post cap for a stairway. I've taken a picture of it next to a gallon jug of milk, so you can get an idea of te actual size.
