- I don't know the style, I would say it is closest to Art Deco, but I don't know, not being an expert on furniture. Any input would be appreciated. I would be happy to answer e-mail questions about the piece.
- I don't know the type of wood. Others have said it is cherry. It does have a redder appearance than other wood in the house, and the backside, which is not finished, has a reddish hue. It doesn't smell like cedar.
- The condition is fair. Structurally, it is solid and sound, with fixed legs that are firmly attached and do not wiggle of flex, but the wood has some light scratching and wear. It could use some rework and restoration, and might look great if stripped and refinished. The base has "flying butress" type supports on the inside of the legs that was used to attach the bedframe.
