MATTHEW WILLIS..AGREEMENT FOR THE WATER CORN MILL & PREMISES AT WEST WITTEN....ROBINSON ECLGLEY (not sure of the last name)........On first page of the document (second picture)...handwritten in script of the day..."MEMORANDUM OF AN AGREEMENT MADE AND ENTERED INTO THIS 9TH DAY OF SEPTEMBER IN THE YEAR OF OUR LORD 1842 BETWEEN SIR WILLIAM CLAYTOR OF CROFT IN THE COUNTY OF YORK.......AND MATTHEW WILLIS OF CARPERBY IN THE COUNTY OF YORK.....The two page document continues to state that the agreement to sell and sell between the two persons  consists of "A WATER CORN WHEEL WITH WEIRS DAMS WATERCOURSES STABLES GARDENS OUTBUILDINGS MACHINERY.....PREMISES ARE SITUATE AT WEST WITTON IN THE SAID COUNTY OF YORK....The rest of the memorandum gives legal details including reference to purchase money being made "ON OR BEFORE THE 6TH DAY OF APRIL NEXT......     THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL DOCUMENT OF 1842 WORTH PRESERVING BY A COLLECTOR OF ANTIQUE WRITINGS...IN VERY GOOD CONDITION AS IT IS WRITTEN ON RATHER HEAVY PAPER THAT HAS SURVIVED THE TEST OF TIME.  EASY TO READ....Note: Shipping to England will be only $5.00
