Quarto-size: 7 1/4" by 11". 8 pages. Disbound from volume. Very Nice Condition...Now for some history: This little weekly magazine was the first regularly published illustrated newspaper. Produced by "the Society for the Diffusion of Useful Knowledge", it sought to educate rather than report the latest news, and to this end there are wonderful woodcuts of the world's natural and man-made wonders, it's leading figures, and more. This issue has a nice engraved illustration on the front cover + a larger illustration inside. A Really GREAT 19thc British paper from pre-Victorian England! Buyer pays $1.95S&H, extra for air mail postage outside the U.S. ***Please see scan | | |
