This fantastic Victorian tile was made by the famous Mintons pottery and porcelain manufacturers, from the United Kingdom. It was produced during the 19th Century and is decorated with a rural landscape design, featuring horses, picked out in deep brown, to a white ground. The tile is finished in high quality gloss glaze.
Marks & Backstamps
The tile is marked to the rear with the embossed 'Mintons China Works Stoke Upon Trent' backstamp.
Condition & Size
The tile has been detached across one corner, and readhered, and has some minor nibbling to the rims and corners, which is common in a piece of this vintage, and does not greatly detract. Otherwise, it is in very good condition. It measures approximately 6” square.
