Time Left: 0 Seconds |  | | For More Details: Click here | This PRISM is from the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse that was standing BEFORE the present one...this Prism came from the OLD Cape Hatteras Lighthouse that was commissioned to be built and begun in the year 1793, with building completed and put into operation in the year 1803...although the lighthouse was destroyed upon replacement by the "new one" that now stands, the Base of the old one remained until the year 1979//80 when the US Park Service allowed it to be swept away by the sea during their senseless "let nature take its course" period...this Prism is one of the remaining pieces of that grand old structure from so long ago...its place in history known only to a few...appreciated for what it truly represents to those of us whose ancestry kept it lit...as the pictures plainly see, there are chips broken from each end...the length of this Prism is 9 inches, and other than the ends, it is in excellent condition...i considered the possibility of having it cut so as to appear to be perfect, but decided, years ago, that that was not the best thing to do with this genuine piece of Cape Hatteras Lighthouse history...so...it is as it has been for many, many years...i will accept bank check or postal money orders or Paypal...i will package this Prism so that it cannot possibly be harmed during transit to you and i will send it priority mail...i will ask for 15 dollars shipping...
