ORIGINAL 1840 solicitor LETTER to Sir Geo Musgrave Bart

 

The beautiful handwriting looks printed as the words Sir have been added in a different hand.  Although this was after the penny black was introduced by a few months it did not use one.  The postmark 21 Dec 1840 is clear and you can see from the photo that the 2 halves of the paper are nearly separated.
